If you are trying to lead and no one is following, you are only taking a walk. One of the greatest challenges as a leader is to actually lead in such a way so that followers are following. There are many leadership styles. Some leaders are methodical and deliberate. Others are quick, to the point and just want to know the bottom line.  Some are managers who lead by delegating to capable people and others would rather get the job done alone.One style is not necessarily better than the other. The part that is crucial is to have a leader who is leading from his/her strengths.

Simply having a clear mission statement does not necessarily put you on the road to leading a thriving business or organization. It is also important to understand strengths of each teammate and blend differences.
